Patna. In view of the increasing heat, the timing of all the schools in the city has been changed by the Patna district administration on Friday. Morning classes will be started in schools from Saturday. Classes will start from 6:40 am in most of the schools in the city. All the school managers have been instructed by the district administration that the classes will be conducted only till 11:45 am.
Sports and extracurricular classes will not be held
After the instructions issued by the district administration, the parents of various schools of the city have been informed about the timing of the school’s reschedule through messages. Sports and extracurricular classes will not be organized in schools after the change in class timings. In the morning class only classes of main subjects will be conducted.
Focus will be on indoor activities
PK Singh, principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya located in the city’s Bailey Road, told that the class timing of the children of the first shift of the school will be from 7 to 9 in the morning. On the other hand, the class for the children of the second shift will be held from 9 am to 11:30 am. Along with this, the parents have also been informed about how to give lunch to the children. He told that in view of the increasing heat, the focus will be on indoor activities instead of outdoor sports.
Only main subject classes will be conducted
On the other hand, the Principal of Loyola High School, Brother Sudhakar Reddy said that due to the morning class, the timing of the class has reduced, but it will not affect the education of the children. Only the main subject class will be conducted in the morning class. Along with this, the morning assembly of the children will also be organized in the class itself.

The order related to this has been issued by District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh on Friday for all school management and Anganwadi centers. The timing of the academic work at schools and Anganwadi centers has been changed due to extreme heat.

District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh said that there is a possibility of adverse effect on the health and life of the children due to the high temperature prevailing in the district and especially in the afternoon. Therefore, there has been a change in the timing of academic activities. Educational activities will not be conducted at pre-schools and Anganwadi centers after 11:45 am.
