Sawan festival in Japan too, devotees take out Kanwar Yatra, watch video

The month of Sawan has started and for the first time outside India, Kanwad Yatra is being taken out in Tokyo, the capital of Japan. This event has been organized by the Bihar-Jharkhand Association of Japan. Hindus from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar and Sri Lanka have participated in this. India’s Ambassador to Japan CB George started the Kanwar Yatra as chief guest along with Anand Vijay Singh, head of Bihar-Jharkhand Association and Bihar Foundation in Japan. On the other hand, Anand Vijay Singh told that Ganga water has been brought from Sultanganj in Bihar for the Kanwar Yatra. The yatra started from Shree Radha Krishna Temple, Funabori, Tokyo and proceeded to Shiva temple in Saitama, where the Jalabhishek of Mahadev would be done. He told that the distance of Shiva temple from Funabori Tokyo is about 82 kilometers. In this, the kanwariyas will cover some distance by vehicle and some distance on foot. The route of the yatra has been decided according to the punctuality and instructions of the local administration. Bihar-Jharkhand Association as well as almost all the main organizations of Japan are cooperating in this. Let us tell you that Ganga water has been taken from Sultanganj in Bihar for the Kanwar Yatra.
