Sawan 2023: Kanwar Yatra started in Japan’s capital Tokyo, Kanwariya will perform Jalabhishek in Saitama Shiva Temple

Kailashpati Mishra, Patna. Before the beginning of the month of Malmas, the second Monday of Sawan is on 17th July. Along with this, Malmas will start from Tuesday. At the same time, for the first time outside India, Kanwar Yatra has started in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, to offer water to Lord Bholenath in Sawan across the seven seas. It is being organized by the Bihar-Jharkhand Association of Japan. Hindus from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar and Sri Lanka are participating in this. The land of the rising sun is witnessing a vibrant celebration of faith and devotion by the local people. India’s Ambassador to Japan CB George started the Kanwar Yatra as chief guest along with Anand Vijay Singh, head of Bihar-Jharkhand Association and Bihar Foundation in Japan.

Ganga water was procured from Sultanganj in Bihar for the Kanwar Yatra.

Anand Vijay Singh told that Ganga water has been brought from Sultanganj in Bihar for the Kanwar Yatra. The yatra started from Shree Radha Krishna Temple, Funabori, Tokyo and proceeded to Saitama Shiv Temple, where Jalabhishek of Mahadev would be performed. He told that the distance of Shiva temple from Funabori Tokyo is about 82 kilometers. In this, the kanwariyas will cover some distance by vehicle and some distance on foot. The route of the yatra has been decided according to the punctuality and instructions of the local administration. Bihar-Jharkhand Association as well as almost all the main organizations of Japan are cooperating in this.

500 devotees likely to attend

Anand Vijay Singh, head of the Bihar-Jharkhand Association and Bihar Foundation, told that after Jalabhishek and Havan, Mahaprasad has been arranged for all the devotees at the Shiva temple Saitama, in which five hundred devotees are likely to attend. At the same time, the association’s secretary Vikas Ranjan said that the Japanese authorities are getting cooperation in the security and smooth operation of the yatra.

Crowds of Kanwariyas reached Deoghar on the second Monday of Sawan

Here, on the second Monday of Sawan, the crowd of Kanwariyas from Sultanganj has started gathering in Deoghar from Sunday evening itself. From the evening itself, the crowd of Kanwariyas increased from Kanwariya Path to Shivganga and the queue of Kanwariyas gradually increased in the route line. Till late Sunday night, up to one lakh Kanwariyas have reached Deoghar. Even on Sunday, water was offered in the Baba temple till night. For the second Monday, the district administration has made concrete arrangements for facilities and security for eight kilometers from Baba Mandir to Kanwariya Routeline. CRPF has been deployed in Baba temple as well as in Parvati temple. From the temple to the end of the queue, the police-administration has been alerted.

Strong management of security, everyone will be able to offer water: DC

Regarding the second Monday, Deoghar DC Manjunath Bhajantri along with the entire team got informed about the preparations of the entire fair area including Baba Mandir, Kanwariya Path, Nehru Park, Kanwariya Routeline. DC has instructed the magistrate and police officer on duty from Sunday night itself to be fully prepared. During this, all kinds of security agencies including NDRF, medical team have also been asked to remain alert. DC said that the district administration has done better management regarding the second Monday. All the devotees standing in the queue will get an opportunity to offer water. Keep patience with the devotees, it is the top priority of the district administration to offer water to them easily. All officials and police personnel have been asked to behave with the devotees with the spirit of service, Shravani Mela will be successful with everyone’s cooperation.

Mass-wide Purushottam month will start from tomorrow

The first part of Sawan will end on the second Monday. After hoisting the flag in Rajgir on Monday night, Purushottam month (Malmas) will start from Tuesday, which will continue till 16th August. Along with this, on Monday, on the occasion of Sankranti Tithi, Belpatra exhibition will be held in Baba Mandir and Bangla Sawan will also start. Earlier on Sunday, a huge crowd of Kanwariyas gathered in Babadham. Chanting ‘Bol Bam’ in the midst of torrential rain, the Kanwariyas kept on reaching Babadham fast. The queue of kanwariyas was seen operating near Jalsar Children Park from morning till the gate was closed. There is a possibility of unexpected rush on the second last Monday.

Devotees will flock to you

Devotees especially from UP, MP, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh will arrive at the beginning of Purushottam month. Thirteenth date is considered to be of special importance in Purushottam month. There will be two teras in Purushottam month, of which the first is on 30th July and the second on 13th August. In both these days lakhs of devotees will come to Baba Nagri.

What is the recognition of Purushottam month

According to the scriptures, except Baba Baidyanath in Purushottam, all the 33 crore deities of Devlok reside in Rajgir. Rajgir is considered to be of special importance in this month, but Baba Baidyanath does not go anywhere leaving Babadham due to his commitment. It has been said that when Ravana was taking Baba Bholenath with him to Lanka, then Baba had promised Ravana that if you put me on the ground anywhere except Lanka, I will not go anywhere except that place. When Baba was kept in Devghar by Ravana, since then Baba does not go anywhere according to the promise given to Ravana. According to belief, after worshiping from Rajgir, a large number of devotees come to Babadham during Purushottam month and offer prayers.

Bangla Shravan will also start from tomorrow

On Monday, on the occasion of Sankranti Tithi, according to the tradition going on in Baba Nagri, Belpatra exhibition will be organized in different temples by different Belpatra committees. Along with this, Bangla Shravan will start from Tuesday, which will continue till 16th August. On the other hand, Belpatra exhibition will be organized on every Monday of Bangla Shravan. There will be a total of five Mondays in Bangla Shravan. In this, the first will be on July 17, the second on July 24, the third on July 31, the fourth on August 7 and the fifth and last Monday on August 14. On the other hand, there will be two Mondays in Shravan falling on the other side, of which the first will be on 21st and the second on 28th August. After this, the fair will end on August 31 with Raksha Bandhan.
