Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Rai, who went with a seven-member team of Jharkhand Legislative Assembly to study Kerala’s three-tier Panchayati Raj system, has said that despite being in Kerala, he is not getting drinking water in some areas of his constituency during the summer season. Fully aware of the difficulties and he and his team are actively working to resolve the difficulties in coordination with JNAC and TSUIL.

assurance of resolution of complaint

MLA Saryu Rai has said that in the areas of Laxminagar, Prem Nagar, Jhagadu Bagan etc. in Jamshedpur East, there are complaints of low pressure and non-availability of water in two-three lanes due to the connection of drinking water supply to the water tank of Ramadhan Bagan. . I have also asked Tata Steel UIL officials to start connection to Burma Mines drinking water tank in these areas, which they have accepted. Along with this, he has assured to increase the number of water supply tankers to deliver water to such areas. Mr. Rai told that the work on the project pending for the last 25 years for providing drinking water to Babudih-Lal Bhatta areas of Bhuiyandih has started from today. The work of fencing the grounds for setting up a water treatment plant at Linde Parking Ground has started today. There will be a meeting with the concerned officer of the company on next Monday to expedite the plan and inform about its progress.

Water will be transported by tankers

In Lal Bhatta- Babudih, due to non-availability of water in the arrangement made for providing water, the problems of the people have increased. The reason for this is that many people have taken illegal connections through this pipeline. I have told the officers of Tata Steel UIL to legalize the illegal connection and arrange separate water supply for Lal Bhatta-Babudih. For this the team of the company will visit the area. Water will be supplied through tankers as per requirement. Meanwhile, the work of laying a new pipe is going on to remove the years-old problem of water-logging in Brahmin Tola-Gwala township. Some people are obstructing it. For political reasons, those obstructing this are requested to desist from their habit.
