Sanjay Singh will not be shifted, interrogation will take place in ED headquarters only, hearing in court on AAP leader’s application

Rouse Avenue Court of Delhi heard a petition of Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh, arrested in the Delhi Excise case. ED made it clear to the court that Sanjay Singh will not be shifted anywhere else from the headquarters.

Sanjay Singh’s advocate had given the application
In the Delhi Liquor Policy case, Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh’s advocate Dr. Farrukh Khan and advocate Prakash Priyadarshi had given an application in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court saying that ED Sanjay Singh is being transferred to Tughlaq Road Jail. Sanjay Singh’s lawyers had filed an application against this in Rouse Avenue Court. However, ED in its reply said that at present there is no such plan. Sanjay Singh will not be shifted anywhere else from the headquarters.

Court asked questions to ED
In fact, while accepting Sanjay Singh’s application, the court had questioned the investigating officers of ED on this matter. While seeking the report of the case, the court had asked the ED whether there is any plan to shift Sanjay Singh or not. At the same time, in response to this, ED told the court that there is no plan to transfer Sanjay Singh from ED headquarters to anywhere else.

It is noteworthy that Sanjay Singh was recently arrested by ED in the Delhi Liquor Policy case. After this, a Delhi court sent Sanjay Singh to ED custody for five days. At the same time, after 5 days remand, ED will present Singh in the court on October 10.
