Sand extraction will be banned in Jharkhand from June 10, tender for three big ghats started

Jharkhand News: From June 10, NGT will ban the extraction of sand from sand ghats in the entire state. But JSMDC has issued the tender for six big sand ghats of Category C on 30th May. Whereas it will take two to three months to complete the tender process. It was informed that the JSMDC has developed projects in Bokaro district Damodar river, Champi, Khetko Ghat (52.40 hectare), Son Ghat (213 hectare) and North Koel Ghat (57.6 hectare) in Garhwa district, Koreyamohanpal of East Singhbhum, Swarna Nadipal (71 hectare), Damjur ( Tender has been issued for 126 hectare) and Manjhane Siratar (70.27 hectare) of Giridih district. In this, the financial bid has been sought from the selected MDO till June 7.
