The epic action film Salaar starring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran is all set to stream on Netflix from January 20. The film, which released in theaters on December 22, 2023, has been a huge success at the box office, earning more than Rs 600 crore.
Salaar is directed by Prashant Neel, who is known for his blockbuster KGF series. Salaar tells the story of Deva (Prabhas), a gang leader who tries to keep a promise he made to his friend Vardha (Prithviraj), the real prince of Khansar, a powerful city-state.
Deva helps Vardha become the undisputed ruler of Khansar, but their friendship cannot last as criminal gangs and political intrigue force these childhood friends to reveal the truth about their real past.
The film is full of thrilling action scenes and powerful performances from lead actors Shriya Reddy, Shruti Haasan. The audience liked it very much.
Salaar has two parts. The fans liked the first part a lot. The name of the second part is Salaar: Part 2 – Shauryanga Parvam, which is expected to be released in 2025.
The film’s producer, Vijay Kiragandur, has confirmed that the script of the sequel is ready and shooting will begin in early 2024. The sequel will continue the gripping story of Deva and Vardha’s struggle and reveal the secrets of their past.
Salaar is available on Netflix in four languages – Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. However, Hindi language viewers will have to wait for some more time, because the Hindi version of the film has not yet been released on the OTT platform.
According to the producers, the Hindi version of the film was delayed due to some technical issues. The Hindi trailer of the film has already received over 100 million views on YouTube, indicating the high demand of the film among the Hindi audience.
