Kia Sonet facelift: South Korean automobile manufacturer Kia Motors is preparing to launch Sonet facelift in the market. However, its launch date has not been announced yet by the company. There is a possibility that the company may launch its new facelift car Sonet SUV in January next year, but there is also a rumor in the media reports that Kia Motor will launch its Sonet facelift car only in December 2023. Whereas, the reality is that Kia Motors will unveil the Sonet facelift in the global market in December. However, it is also being said in the rumor that Kia Motor will also reveal its prices in December 2023 itself.
Changes in the design of Kia Sonet facelift
Let us tell you that Kia Motor launched its model Sonet globally in August 2020. Now the company has decided to change its design. The front cover of this compact SUV can be modified with a new headlamp cluster and a new set of taillights connected to the LED light bar. Apart from this, a new digital instrument cluster and switchgear can also be found in it. The car can be equipped with 6-airbags as standard and the top variant can be equipped with ADAS technology. Along with this, DRL will be given new treatment in it. A minor update can also be seen in the front bumper. The look of alloy wheels will also be dual tone, which is better in appearance than the existing wheels. Whereas, if we talk about its back side, it is very similar to the new Seltos.
It also gets a new thicker bumper with a connected tail-lamp treatment. These new wraparound tail-lamps are larger and give a much more aggressive look to the rear styling. As already revealed, the interiors of the Sonet in its new avatar will get new colours, a new digital instrument cluster as well as a new center console. Which will replace the stack of buttons.

That means the existing 1.2 L aspirated petrol will remain intact along with the flagship turbo petrol unit and 1.5 L diesel. In its current form, Sonet remains a popular car, but it is facing tough competition. Because in this segment, along with the new Hyundai Venue, many other rivals including the new Tata Nexon have been launched. At present, Sonet is lagging behind Seltos in terms of sales, but has become a big seller in the sub-4 meter segment.

Powertrain options for the Kia Sonet facelift are expected to be taken from the existing model. These include 1.2-litre NA petrol motor, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and 1.5-litre diesel mill. Prices of this updated rival to Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza and Hyundai Venue will be revealed later this year.
