RPF arrested a youth who came from Dhanbad with unaccounted cash worth Rs 52 lakh from Ranchi-Howrah Shatabdi Express.

A person has been arrested with unaccounted cash worth Rs 52 lakh from Ranchi-Howrah Shatabdi Express. The name of the accused is Ajay Kumar Verma (35). He is said to be a resident of Kumharpatti, Gol Building, Dhanbad. RPF and Custom Department officials are taking him into custody and interrogating him.

Arrest made from Old Complex of Howrah Station.

The accused was caught when he was standing on the cab road located between platform numbers 8-9 of the Old Complex of Howrah station. RPF officers noticed him. Upon suspicion, they searched him and found a large number of bundles of currency notes from him.

The accused had come to Kolkata from Dhanbad.

The accused has admitted during interrogation that he had reached Howrah station by Ranchi-Howrah Shatabdi Express. He had come to Kolkata from Dhanbad to deliver the cash to a jewelery shop in Kolkata. According to information received from RPF sources, when asked about the cash, he could not give a satisfactory answer. After this he was arrested. The accused has been handed over to the Customs Department.
