Royal Enfield spied? Photograph of Classic 650 taken during testing!

Royal Enfield Classic 650: India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer Royal Enfield is continuously working on expanding its portfolio. The new upcoming motorcycle Shotgun 650 included in the company’s portfolio is going to be launched in the Indian market soon. Along with the Shotgun 650, Royal Enfield can also launch four 650 cc motorcycles in its lineup. Not only this, this company is also working on the new Classic 650. It is considered to be the cheapest 650 cc motorcycle in the lineup. The company has also started its testing. It has been spotted during testing on the roads and now its spy shots are going viral on the internet.

Royal Enfield Classic 650 Engine

The spy shots reveal that the Classic 650 will share its chassis with the Super Meteor 650. However, there will be many differences, which will help the manufacturer reduce the price. The Classic 650 uses an easy chrome-finished engine case instead of a blacked-out engine case. Royal Enfield is already using chrome engine cases on the base variants of the Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650.

Royal Enfield Classic 650 suspension

The suspension setup on the Classic 650 is quite simple. Traditional telescopic forks have been used at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. In comparison, the Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650 use Showa-sourced up-side down forks at the front. The exhaust looks similar to the Shotgun 650, but is finished in chrome instead of blacked out.

Wheels of Royal Enfield Classic 650

The fenders of the Royal Enfield Classic 650 are shared with the Super Meteor 650 but the rear number plate housing and tail lamp are different. Then there is the headlamp unit, which is an LED unit borrowed from other 650 cc motorcycles, but now gets a cowl. There are also pilot lamps that use halogen bulbs. The motorcycle runs on spoke wheels with tubeless tyres, which means repairing punctures will be difficult.

Features of Royal Enfield Classic 650

The engine guard of the Royal Enfield Classic 650 is shared with the Super Meteor 650, but the seats are shared with the Shotgun 650. Braking duties are performed by discs at both ends and there will also be a dual-channel anti-lock braking system. The motorcycle is also equipped with adjustable levers and a bash plate. It is not yet known which speedometer Royal Enfield will use. Additionally, there is a possibility that Royal Enfield will use different wheel sizes for the Classic 650.
