New Delhi : British car maker Rolls-Royce is going to launch a luxury car worth more than Rs 200 crore in the car market. The company has named it La Rose Noir Droplet. According to media reports, British luxury automobile manufacturer Rolls-Royce has launched its new coachbuilt masterpiece La Rose Noire Droptail, which is equipped with four droptail commissions. The cost of the ultra-customised car is over $30 million (around Rs 211 crore). It was recently presented to those customers at a private event near Pebble Beach in California. With this price, it has become the most expensive car in the world.
World’s most expensive car made by beating the boat tail
According to media reports, British luxury car manufacturer Rolls-Royce has launched the Droptail Roadster. This car of Rolls Royce is also known as La Rose Noir. Its value is said to be 30 million dollars i.e. about 211 crore rupees. The La Rose Noir has also beaten the Rolls Royce Boat Tail, the company’s most expensive car so far in terms of price. The cost of the boat tail is $28 million.
Ready after four years of hard work
According to media reports, the Rolls-Royce Droptail is the company’s modern two-seater roadster car, reminiscent of coachbuild drop-tops. It helped establish the company as a niche luxury brand almost a century ago. This car of Rolls-Royce has been prepared by the company along with its other clients after hard work of about four years. The company says that this car reflects the pioneering of the company’s inhouse coach building series.
Design of La Rose Noire
The design of the Rolls-Royce La Rose Noir droptail is inspired by the Black Baccara rose from France. The front end design of the La Rose Noire is quite conventional. However, the company has made some changes in the front grille of this car. The petals of the front grille are generally straight, but are slightly curved in the droptail. The color of its petals is like a deep pomegranate, which appears almost black in the shade. But, in direct light it appears red with a glow. These two colors form the primary color palette of the vehicle. Instead of redesigning the Dawn convertible, the Rolls-Royce Droptail car has been built on a new monochock chassis made of aluminum and carbonfibre for the first time for the coachbuild division.
La Rose Noir Droptail Length
At 5.3 meters long and 2.0 meters wide, the La Rose Noir Droptail is smaller than the Electric Spectre. Its completely custom silhouette is defined by a low coupe-esque roofline inspired by the ‘chop-top’ hot rods. This gives the new model a more distinctly sporting character than the mainstream Rolls-Royce models. The removable roof panel is also carbonfibre, making it easy for the driver to remove and replace.
La Rose Noir Droptail Interior
All the switchgear has been hidden inside the La Rose Noir droptail and only three buttons are left in open view. The seats are covered with a massive wooden panel, intended to reinforce the “romantic” ambiance. It was built by a single craftsman (a former Rolls-Royce apprentice). The wood panels of the interior – made of black sycamore in reference to the car’s French origins, represent falling rose petals.
Powertrain of La Rose Noir Droptail
Power is provided by the familiar twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre V12 in an exclusive state of tune, which bumps up power by 38hp compared to the Phantom but drops torque by 60Nm. This gives a total output of 601hp and 840Nm. Rolls hasn’t revealed any performance figures, but there’s no doubt that the drop tail will be a close match for the V12-engined Dawn, with a sub-5.0 second 0-100kph time and a top speed of 250kph .
