A horrific robbery took place in the Bundela bus going from Dhanbad to Biharsharif at around 3 am on Wednesday in Bundelkhand OP police station area of Nawada. Property worth lakhs of passengers was looted. Most of the passengers in the bus were from Dhanbad. After the incident, driver Pappu Khan and assistant Anil Kumar took the bus directly to Nawada police station and informed the police there about the entire incident. Bundela bus (JH 10 Y 5445) plies from Dhanbad to Bihar Sharif. The bus had left from Dhanbad on Tuesday evening also. At that time about 50 men, women and children were traveling in the bus. Everyone was going to their villages during Chhath. During this time an incident of robbery was carried out in the bus. After the incident, passengers Vijay Pandey, Shweta Kumari, Sanju Devi, Urmila Devi etc. told that more than a dozen dacoits entered the bus simultaneously near Jeevan Jyoti Hospital on Nawada-Gaya Road. Everyone had pistols and knives in their hands. As soon as the bus entered, they started looting with the help of weapons. During this period, gold chains from the neck of four female passengers, earrings of many women, dozens of mobile phones including Mangalsutra and lakhs of rupees in cash were looted. During this, the criminals looted for five to seven minutes and kept threatening everyone to remain silent. After committing the incident, everyone fled from there. Stopped the bus by dancing on the road
The driver told the police that the bus goes to Bihar Sharif via Nawada Town. As soon as the bus reached the single road in Nawada Town, I saw that Kali Puja was taking place on one side and many people were present. A person was dancing while sleeping on the road. The car slowed down, after which the criminals immediately went towards the driver and the passenger and pointed their pistol at them. After arming the pistol, about a dozen dacoits went inside the bus and within five to seven minutes the dacoits fled away after committing the crime. Immediately after the incident, the driver called the local police station, but no one received it. After that all passengers Took him straight to the police station and informed him about the entire incident.
