Ranchi: Electricity consumers of Jharkhand will now get electricity bills and other facilities through WhatsApp and messages. Jharkhand Electricity Distribution Corporation Limited (JBVNL) has entered into an agreement with Gupshup Technology India Private Limited for this. This is a chatbot software company. For this service, consumers will have to meet the nearest electricity office or Urja Mitra and get KYC of bill and WhatsApp number done. Only after this the bill will be available on WhatsApp. This service is starting from March 1st. JBVNL is conveying this message to consumers through various mediums.
