Road Accident in Odisha: Major road accident in Odisha, bus fell from overbridge, 5 passengers died

A bus became a victim of a road accident on Monday night in Jajpur district of Odisha. In this bus accident, 5 people have died and 40 people are reported to be injured. According to the information, this bus was going from Puri in Odisha to Kolkata and met with an accident on the way in Jajpur district. This accident happened at 9 pm when the bus was crossing the Barabati bridge on National Highway-16 and fell down from the bridge. There were a total of 50 passengers in the bus at the time of the incident. Giving information, the local police said that 5 people have died in the incident, which include four men and one woman. Of the injured passengers, 30 are being treated at SCB Medical College, Cuttack.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced compensation

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed grief over the accident and announced a relief amount of Rs 3 lakh each for the families of the deceased.
