Road accident in Haridwar: Mini truck full of kanwariyas collided with two bikes, three people died

Haridwar : A mini truck carrying kanwariyas hit two motorcycles on Wednesday near Shankaracharya Chowk in Kankhal area in Haridwar, resulting in the death of three bike riders. However, a woman has been seriously injured in this horrific road accident.

Kankhal police station in-charge Nitesh Sharma said that the person who died in the accident was going from Haridwar to Bijnor at the time of the incident. He told that the mini truck of Kanwariyas going towards Delhi hit two motorcycles with such force. Due to this, three persons riding on both the bikes died on the spot. Those who died in the accident have been identified as Rohit Kumar (30), a resident of Fina village in Bijnor, Noni alias Pushpendra (30), a resident of Nagla Chhajlet in Moradabad, and one-year-old girl Mahi.

According to the police, Rohit Kumar, his wife Pooja and one-year-old daughter Mahi and Noni alias Pushpendra’s son Charan Singh were living in a rented house in Ahmedpur Ningu Nagla Chhajlet Moradabad Rawli Mehdood. Pushpendra used to work in a factory in Sidcul. Late on Tuesday night, he was returning to Bijnor on a motorcycle. As soon as he reached near Shankaracharya Chowk, a small elephant vehicle carrying dak kanwariyas hit his bike. Police said that Pooja, who was injured in the accident, has been admitted to the district hospital here where her condition remains critical.

Police said that all four people fell down and were seriously injured due to the collision. The policemen on duty immediately admitted the injured to the district hospital by ambulance. On reaching the hospital, the doctors declared Noni alias Pushpendra, Rohit and Mahi dead, while Pooja is undergoing treatment in the hospital.
