Reward criminal arrested from Delhi, had murdered brother for two yards of land

Gopalganj. Gopalganj Police has arrested notorious criminal Jitendra Ram alias Atawas Ram, who has been absconding for a long time, from Delhi. SIT and DIU have made the arrest in joint action. Notorious Jitendra, resident of Balha village of Barauli police station area, is absconding after the murder of his brother. The police had placed a reward of Rs 25,000 on him. On Monday, SP Swarn Prabhat confirmed the arrest.

Jitendra Ram included in the list of top 44 rewarded criminals

SP said that Jitendra Ram was included in the list of top-44 rewarded criminals. After the arrest, the police produced him in the court under tight security and then sent him to jail. Apart from Barauli police station incharge Jaihind Yadav, SIT and DIU teams were involved in the action. SP has said that both the teams will be rewarded with prize money. At the same time, after this action, there is hope for the family of the deceased to get justice.

Had fled to Delhi after murder

According to the police, eight years ago, on January 17, 2016, Jitendra Ram alias Atawas Ram had a dispute with his real brother Shambhu Ram over a dispute over two yards of land in Balha village of Barauli police station area. Jitendra Ram alias Atawas Ram, under the influence of alcohol, stabbed his brother Shambhu Ram to death and then fled away.

The search was on for eight years

The police had attached the property of the absconding criminal in the case, but he was not able to be arrested for eight years. SP included the name of Jitendra Ram alias Atawas Ram in the list of absconding criminals and announced a reward of Rs 25,000. After this, SIT and DIU arrested Jitendra Ram alias Atawas Ram.

List of rewarded criminals has been made

SP Swarn Prabhat has made a list of top and notorious criminals of Gopalganj, reward has been announced on all these criminals. Other cases including murder, robbery, dacoity, extortion, rape, Arms Act etc are registered against these criminals. SP has released the list of top-44 criminals and deployed STF, SIT and DIU teams, which are continuously conducting raids.
