Review: Updated version of Honda CB300F launched in India at a price of Rs 1.7 lakh, know its engine-features

New Delhi : Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) on Monday launched the updated version of CB300F motorcycle in the Indian bike market. The updated version of the CB300F is now compliant with OBD-II A engines. The price of streetfighter motorcycle CB300F has been set at Rs 1.70 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi and can be booked at Bigwing dealerships. Its 293cc, oil-cooled, 4-stroke, single-cylinder PGM-FI engine generates 18 kW of power and 25.6 Nm of peak torque. Honda CB300F will be available in Deluxe Pro variant and three color options Sports Red, Matte Marvel Blue Metallic and Matte Axis Gray Metallic.

The engine of Honda CB300F comes with 6-speed gearbox. It also gets an additional slipper clutch, which requires less force to shift gears quickly. It also prevents rear wheel bounce during downshifting, helping riders move smoothly on the roads. During the launch, Yogesh Mathur, Director, Sales and Marketing, HMSI, said that epitomizing the spirit of a true street fighter, the CB300F will conquer the urban genre with its powerful and agile performance.

The Honda CB300F motorcycle is equipped with 5-phase adjustable rear mono shock suspension and dual disc brakes (276 mm front and 220 mm rear) come with dual-channel ABS. The new Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and Golden USD front forks help integrate safety with performance.

The Honda CB300F streetfighter motorcycle features a fully digital instrument panel, which comes with five levels of customizable brightness and provides information such as speedometer, odometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, twin trip meters, gear position indicator and time. It also has all-LED lighting system and Honda Smartphone Voice Control System (HSVCS).

Let us tell you that in the month of August, Honda Motorcycle and India had launched Honda SP160 motorcycle. In the Indian bike market, it will be sold in two variants, single-disc and twin-disc. Its price in ex-showroom is Rs 1,17,500 and Rs 1,21,900. It becomes the third 160 cc motorcycle in Honda’s lineup, as the manufacturer already sells the Unicorn and X-Blade. However, the company has fixed the price of Honda CB300F at Rs 1.70 lakh for the ex-showroom Delhi.

It is noteworthy that Honda Motorcycle has been trying to establish its foothold in the 300 to 350 cc segment in the Indian bike market for the last few years. The bike was first brought to compete with Royal Enfield’s 350cc lineup. After this, the BS6 version of CB300R was launched in early 2022. In the same year, Honda also launched the streetfighter CB300F. Now the company has introduced its updated version in the market.

The design of Honda CB300F is exactly like the streetfighter bike. There is no fairing of any kind in this new bike and sharp lines have been given, which gives it an aggressive look. An angular headlight has been provided in the front, which comes with a pointy look. A thin turn indicator is given above its headlight and a tapered handlebar is given above it. Its upside down front forks have been kept in gold paint, which gives a premium look to the bike and it has a USB-C charging point. This bike has extensions in the fuel tank and small overhangs of the front mudguard, which gives it a more aggressive look. Honda CB300F has 17-inch blacked out 10-spoke alloy wheels, which come with tubeless tyres.
