Renault launches limited special editions of Kiger, Triber and Kwid, know about them

New Delhi : French car maker Renault has launched the Special Limited model of three models of its car in India. The carmaker has launched the Urban Knight Limited model of Kwid, Kaigar and Triber in an effort to boost its sales ahead of the upcoming festive season. These special edition models will be priced between Rs 7,000 to Rs 15,000 higher than the top-spec variants of their standard models. Booking has started for all three models. However, Renault has not yet revealed how many units of each model will be available for sale.

Changes in limited models

The Renault Urban Knight Limited models Kwid, Triber and Kiger will come with mostly cosmetic changes and a few additional features over the current models on sale. These include design updates like new exterior color scheme Stealth Black in conjunction with Stardust Silver accents. The color scheme is new for Renault models like Triber MPV and Kwid hatchback.

Features in special edition models

Other features introduced by Renault on these special edition models include smart mirror monitors, updated ambient lighting and illuminated scuff plates inside the cabin. Renault claims that the Smart Mirror Monitor is a first-of-its-kind 9.66-inch color display, which doubles as an adjustable interior rear view mirror and front and rear camera recording along with wireless smartphone connectivity.

Company expects to increase sales

Announcing the launch of the special edition models, Venkatram Mamilapalle, Country CEO and Managing Director, Renault India, said, “This is an exciting announcement for the Renault family including dealers, the industry and our employees. The new age customer will make a bold statement with the powerful Urban Knight Limited model. This reflects our dedication to creating customer-centric experiences. We are confident that this new limited edition will enable us to welcome more customers to our growing Renault family. The company hopes that these three special edition models will help in selling units in the Indian car market.

Engines of special edition models

The Renault Kiger SUV comes with two 1.0-litre petrol engines, including a turbocharged one. The engines come with either a manual or a CVT gearbox. The SUV claims a fuel efficiency of 20.62 kmpl. It has also been given a four star rating in the Global NCAP crash test. Renault Triber MPV is one of the best selling three liner vehicles in India. The seven seater model is the most secured in its segment with a four star rating in Global NCAP.
