After receiving threat over phone before the Lok Sabha elections, Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Rai attacked Dhulu Mahato fiercely in a press conference in the capital Ranchi on Sunday (31 March). He said that if the Congress party supports him to defeat a candidate like Dhulu Mahato, then Saryu Rai is ready to contest the Lok Sabha elections from Dhanbad.
49 cases against Dhulu Mahato, many cases of attempt to murder also
Saryu Rai fiercely attacked Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA and declared candidate for Lok Sabha elections from Dhanbad, Dhulu Mahato. Said that 49 cases are registered against this person. This includes many cases of attempt to murder. There are 15 cases registered under Arms Act, while more than 13 cases are related to robbery and extortion.

He also gave advice to INDIA, the alliance of 27 parties formed against PM Modi. Said that he should support a candidate with a clean image in the elections, who can defeat Dhulu Mahato. Saryu Rai said that he has spoken to senior Congress leader Alamgir Alam. If the Congress party is ready to support, then he (Saryu Rai) can contest the Lok Sabha elections to defeat Dhulu Mahato from Dhanbad.
