Rashid Kalia, carrying a reward of one lakh, killed in an encounter with UP STF, was wanted in the Pintu Sengar murder case of Kanpur.

Jhansi News: Sharp shooter Rashid Kalia has been shot dead in an encounter with UP STF and Jhansi Police. STF had an encounter with the criminal while chasing him in Mauranipur of Jhansi district, in which the criminal was shot. After this Rashid was taken to Kaliad Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. In the murder case of BSP leader Pintu Sengar, the police was continuously raiding in search of him. According to the police, Rashid Kalia was notorious for kidnapping. He was shot in an encounter near village Sitaura on the National Highway Jhansi Khajuraho of Mauranipur Kotwali area in Jhansi. According to UP STF, Rashid Kalia was a resident of Chishtinagar in Chakeri police station of Kanpur city. He was originally a resident of Mahoba district. More than 12 cases are registered against Rashid Kalia in different police stations in Kanpur Nagar and Jhansi districts. A reward of Rs 1 lakh was announced by the Additional Director General of Police, Kanpur Zone, on Rashid Kalia in the case registered in Kanpur. UP STF was searching for him for a long time, information about his presence was received in Rashid’s Mauranipur area on Saturday. After this, while chasing the miscreant, he was killed in an encounter.
