Pramod Jha, Patna. On JP Ganga Path, vehicles will fill till Gaighat (12.5 km length) by June this year. Presently the Ganga Path from Digha to PMCH (7.7 km) is operational. Now with the commissioning of the Ganga Path from PMCH to Gaighat, it will take 18 to 22 minutes to reach Digha from Gaighat. Along with this, people will get relief from the problem of jam in Ashok Rajpath while going from Gandhi Maidan to Gaighat. The work of JP Ganga Path is going on fast. However, more time has passed in the construction than the scheduled time. It is likely to be completed by January, 2025.
Construction will be completed till Patna Ghat by December
The source said that by December this year, the Ganga Path will be ready till Patna Ghat. Along with this, a part of the connectivity to be built near Krishna Ghat from Ganga Path will be ready. Presently there is facility of commuting from Digha to PMCH in 7.7 km.
Ganga Path being built in four parts
Work is being done by agencies in different parts of the Ganga Path being built in four parts. These include Navyuga Agency from Digha to Naujar Ghat (13.5 km), GR Infrastructure from Naujar to Patna Ghat (13.5 to 17 km), Patna Ghat to Dharamshala Ghat (17 to 19.9 km), SP Singla and Dharamshala Ghat to Didarganj (19.9 to 19.9 km). 20.5 km km) GR infrastructure is working. The source told that about 80 per cent work has been completed in the portion up to 13.5 km.
127 pillars ready from PMCH to Gaighat
127 pillars have been prepared for the construction of elevated road from PMCH to Gaighat. In these, guards have been mounted on 113 pillars. By June, the facility of commuting from Digha to Gaighat will start. A total of 298 pillars are to be constructed in the construction of the elevated road being constructed till Didarganj. In these, 242 pillars have been prepared by mixing different parts. 56 pillars are yet to be constructed. The source told that about 70 percent work has been completed between Naujar Ghat to Patna Ghat. Ganga path will be ready till Patna Ghat by December this year. 77 pillars have been prepared between Patna Ghat to Dharamshala Ghat.
A part will be ready between Ganga Path to Krishna Ghat by December
There will be connectivity from Ganga Path to reach Ashok Rajpath via Krishna Ghat. Connectivity will be made in one part by December this year. After this the second part will be made. A separate route will be prepared to reach the ghat from the Ganges path.
