The women of Mahant Niwas of Tedhineem in Varanasi have started preparations for the farewell of Mother Gaura with a three-day special worship of her. The Haldi ritual of Maa Gaura has been started from today Monday. According to the information, Gauna of Baba Kashi Vishwanath and Mother Gaura will be celebrated on the occasion of Rangbhari Ekadashi on March 20 in the religious city of Kashi. This time the crown of Baba Kashi Vishwanath has been made for the first time by the artisans of Bengal. An ancient pangadi is also tied on the head of Baba Vishwanath.
Baba Vishwanath will play Holi with devotees
This year, preparations are being made to celebrate the festival of Rangbhari Ekadashi in a special way. On the day of Rangbhari Ekadashi, Baba Kashi Vishwanath and his family will ride on a palanquin from the former Mahant’s residence to the Kashi Vishwanath temple complex. During this time, Baba Vishwanath will play Holi with the devotees in the street. This time Lord Shiva and Mother Gaura will appear to the devotees wearing Bangiya style Devkrit on their heads. Baba’s crown will be unique
The festival of Rangbhari Ekadashi will be celebrated with great pomp on March 20 in the religious city of Kashi. On this day Baba Vishwanath will go to Maa Gauri to take Gauna. Its preparations have been completed. This year, for the first time, Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati will wear the Devakirit made by the artisans of Bengal. This special devkirit prepared for Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati by Mahant Goswami Shankar Puri Maharaj of Kashipuri Peethadheeshwari Mata Annapurna Temple has been handed over to the former Mahant family.
Ritual started with Gaura’s turmeric
Rangbhari Ekadashi festival started on March 18 with Gaura’s Haldi. On Rangbhari Ekadashi, turmeric will be applied to Gaura before the traditional celebration of Maa Gaura’s Gauna. Haldi ceremonies will start at 6.45 pm on March 18 at the residence of the former Mahant. Gauna Baraat will arrive on 19th March. Gaura’s farewell will take place on March 20.
