Ranchi, Rajeev Pandey: There was a stir after a raid was conducted in Birsa Munda Central Jail in Hotwar on Thursday (December 7) on the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner of Ranchi. On the instructions of DC, Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Dinesh Yadav conducted a raid with his team in Birsa Munda Central Jail early in the morning. The Ranchi district administration team reached the jail at five in the morning. The team conducted the raid till eight o’clock. During this, each cell and hospital of Birsa Munda Central Jail was thoroughly inspected. At the same time, a team of women policemen were also present there to search the women’s wards. However, during the three-hour long raid, no objectionable material of any kind was found in the prison.

Apart from DDC Dinesh Yadav, the raiding team includes Sub-Divisional Officer Deepak Dubey, Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order) Rajeshwarnath Alok, Superintendent of Police (City) Rajkumar Mehta, Executive Magistrate Pawan Kumar, Sanjay Prasad, Sadhna Jaipuriar, Sanjay Kumar, Smriti Kumari. Superintendent of Police, 15 police officers and 100 police personnel were also involved for cooperation.
