Ranchi: The person whose last rites were considered dead by his family members 25 years ago turned out to be alive and is lodged in jail.

Ranchi: The person who went missing from home 25 years ago and whose family members considered him dead and cremated him, is still alive. Missing Jeetu Kispotta (father-Etawah Oraon) is currently lodged in Meerut jail of Uttar Pradesh. As soon as he expressed his desire to meet his family in jail, the jail management took the address of his village and police station from him and informed the Mandar police about it. When Mandar police informed Jeetu’s family about this, they were shocked. They had no hope that Jeetu was alive. There was no limit to the happiness in the hearts of the family members.

The matter is of Sargaon police station area. It is said that Jeetu Kispotta, who lived there, had suddenly gone missing 25 years ago. At the time he went missing, he was about 20 years old. After his disappearance, his family members tried to find him for many years, but nothing was found. In the end, considering him dead, his family members and people of the village community performed his last rites. At 4 pm on Wednesday, the jailer of Meerut contacted Mandar police station in-charge Vinay Kumar Yadav over phone and informed that Jitu, a resident of Sargaon, is in jail in connection with some crime.

When the police reached the village, it was found that he had been missing for 25 years. When the police station in-charge showed Jeetu’s photo to the family members, everyone immediately recognized him. Tears of happiness came out of the eyes of the family members. It is said that now he is 45 years old and wants to meet his family members. At home are his father Etva Oraon, brother Bigla Oraon, nephew Dashrath Oraon, Nitesh Oraon and Dashrath Kispotta. The family members are preparing to go to Meerut to meet Jitu Oraon.
