Ranchi: Service of DMO who resigned due to pressure in Angada Patthar lease reinstated

The service of Satyajit, the then District Mining Officer (DMO) of Ranchi, who resigned due to heavy pressure in the allocation of rough stone lease, has been reinstated. The Mines Department has issued a notification in this regard. Satyajit resigned from the post of Ranchi District Mining Officer on 30 April 2021 and left the post on 10 August 2021. After about 10 months, on May 6, 2022, he withdrew his resignation and requested to take the department back into service. The opinion of the Advocate General was taken by the department in this matter.

After the opinion of the Advocate General, the request to withdraw his resignation has been accepted. Issuing the notification, Pankaj Chaudhary, Joint Secretary, Mines Department, has written that Satyajeet will be posted on the vacant post of District Mining Officer from August 4, 2023, the date of issue of the notification. Resignation of Satyajit after taking charge of the post, leaving the post. The consent of the Finance Department will be taken on the proposal to accept the resignation and regularization of the period till taking charge. After this, a separate order will be issued after taking the approval of the cabinet. Chief Minister Hemant Soren has also approved the proposal to regularize Satyajit’s service.

In the end, Satyajit resigned after allotting the lease.
