Ranchi police action against drug dealers, smuggler husband and wife arrested with two kilos of opium

Ranchi, Akhilesh Mahato: Ranchi Police has got great success against drug dealers. Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested the husband and wife with two kilos of opium. During vehicle check in Sonahatu of Ranchi district, police arrested husband Devinath Singh Munda and wife Radhika Kumari with opium. Both these husband and wife were going to smuggle opium. Meanwhile, while checking the vehicle, the police chased them and caught them.

Team formed on secret information
Ranchi Senior Superintendent of Police Chandan Kumar Sinha had received secret information that a man and a woman riding a motorcycle were going from Bundu in Ranchi district towards Sonahatu to smuggle opium. This information was verified and for necessary action, the SSP formed a raid team under the leadership of Bundu Sub-Divisional Police Officer under the direction of the Rural Superintendent of Police.

Police chased and caught the bike rider
In the light of information, vehicle checking was started by the team near Sonahatu police station gate. During vehicle checking, a man and a woman were seen arriving on a motorcycle. When signaled to stop by the police, the motorcyclist started running away and was chased and caught by the police.

Opium found in ladies purse
When the arrested people were searched by Bundu Sub-Divisional Police Officer, opium kept in white plastic was found in the ladies purse of wife Radhika Kumari. When it was tested with DD insect, it turned out to be opium. On weighing the recovered opium, it was found to be two kilograms. His Apache motorcycle was also without number. When asked for valid documents related to opium, they could not produce them.

Police arrested husband and wife
Devinath Singh Munda (father Kedar Munda, Banddih Tola Tirilpidi, Thana Kuchai, Dalbhanga OP, Seraikela Kharsawan) and Radhika Kumari (husband Devinath Singh Munda, Banddih Tola Tirilpidi, Thana Kuchai (Dalbhanga OP), Seraikela Kharsawan) were arrested by the police. . During interrogation, the accused told that these people buy opium from the villagers and sell it to big opium smugglers.

Cash and mobile seized along with two kilos of opium
Police have recovered two kilograms of illegal opium, Rs 2,000 cash, an unnumbered Apache motorcycle and a mobile phone from them.

These were included in the raid team
The raid team included Bundu sub-divisional police officer Ratibhan Singh, Puani Chandan Kumar, police station in-charge Sonahatu, SHO Dol Govind Mahato (Sonahatu police station), SHO Jyotilata Tirkey (women police station Bundu) and armed forces of Sonahatu police station.
