Ranchi: Two rickshaw puller youths were brutally beaten in Nala Road over a dispute over installing e-rickshaws to ferry passengers near Sujata Chowk, Ranchi. The beaters made a video of the young man and made it viral, so that they could bully him in the area. The main accused in the assault is a young man named Saddam. A case has been registered against him in Hindpiri police station. The case has been registered on the complaint of Tahir’s elder brother Hafiz Shams Tabrez, who was injured in the fight. According to the local people, the beating took place due to dominance over driving the e-rickshaw.
Many people drive e-rickshaw under the protection of the accused youth. Whereas the injured youth had refused to listen to the accused youth. Because of this, the accused youth first tried to kill the injured youth by strangulating him with a rope. After this, they beat him severely with sticks and threw him on the ground. During this time, when another auto driver tried to save him, he was also chased and beaten. During the fight, the injured youth repeatedly requested to leave himself, but the accused kept beating him.
