Ranchi News: Ranchi Police has revealed the murder case that took place on March 20, 2024 in Chatatungri Chatakpur of Ratu police station area of Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. In this case, Neeraj Kumar Sharma (33) has been arrested and sent to jail. Police gave this information on Monday (25 March).
Neeraj Kumar Sharma is a resident of Pachmahla village of Chara district.
Police said that Neeraj Kumar Sharma is a resident of Pachmahla village located in Jori police station area of Chatra district. His father’s name is Late Ganesh Mistry. Neeraj Kumar had physical relations with his sister-in-law several times. When his brother-in-law Rahul Sharma came to know about this and started increasing distance from his wife, Neeraj along with his friend Bittu Sharma and another killed Rahul by strangulating him with a towel.
Neeraj Kumar had illicit relations with his sister-in-law
Ratu police has informed in this regard that plaintiff Neeraj Kumar’s wife has two sisters. Neeraj’s in-laws house is in Madhukam, Ranchi. He got married in the year 2014. After marriage, she kept visiting her in-laws’ house continuously. During this period, he had physical relations with his sister-in-law several times. Later Neeraj’s sister-in-law fell in love with Rahul Sharma. Then she married Rahul and settled down in her house.
Neeraj Kumar Sharma got angry when sister-in-law did a love marriage.
Neeraj was unhappy with his sister-in-law’s marriage. He became angry with his sister-in-law. Later her sister-in-law started living with Rahul in a rented house in Madhukam. One day, Rahul Sharma had a fight with some people while drinking alcohol. Later Neeraj told Rahul that his house is vacant. He should shift there with his wife.

Rahul Sharma shifted to Neeraj’s house in Madhukam
Rahul Sharma liked Neeraj’s words. He shifted to Neeraj’s house. Both the families started living there. Meanwhile, Neeraj had physical relations with his sister-in-law several times. In the year 2019, his sister-in-law became pregnant. Rahul Sharma was not ready for a child. But, after Neeraj and his wife explained a lot to him, he agreed for the birth of the child on the understanding that only Neeraj and his wife will raise the child.
Rahul Sharma got wind of his wife’s illicit affair
Within a few days, Rahul Sharma came to know that his brother-in-law Neeraj Kumar Sharma was having illicit relations with his sister-in-law. The distance between husband and wife started increasing. The distance between the two increased considerably in three months. Rahul Sharma started saying that now he will take back his child from Neeraj and his wife.
Along with his friends, he removed Rahul Sharma from the way.
When Neeraj Kumar Sharma got information about this, he started planning to remove Rahul Sharma from the way. After this, along with his friend Bittu Sharma and another, as part of a conspiracy, on the night of March 19, 2024, he made Rahul drink liquor and later strangulated him to death with a pot.

…and Neeraj Sharma broke down, confessed the truth in front of the police
Later, on the request of his sister-in-law, Neeraj Kumar Sharma called his brother-in-law Rahul Sharma, so that no one suspects him. A case was registered on the basis of his false statement. Only Neeraj went to his village Aurangabad with the dead body of Rahul Sharma. After Rahul’s return from the village, when the police called Neeraj Sharma for questioning on March 24 and took strict action, Neeraj Sharma broke down and confessed to his crime. After this the police arrested him and sent him to jail.
