Ranchi Justice Commissioner Arun Kumar Rai becomes judge of Jharkhand High Court

Ranchi: Ranchi Justice Commissioner Arun Kumar Rai has been appointed judge of Jharkhand High Court. In this regard, appointment warrant has also been issued with the signature of President Draupadi Murmu. On January 18, the Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the appointment of Shri Rai as a High Court judge. It is noteworthy that after Shri Rai takes oath, the number of judges in Jharkhand High Court will increase to 19. At present there are 18 judges including Acting Chief Justice S Chandrashekhar.

Who is AK Rai:

Arun Kumar Rai was born in Bhagalpur, Bihar. His father Late Chakradhar Rai had retired from the post of District Judge of Darbhanga in the year 1999. Arun Kumar Rai had contributed to the post of ADJ on May 5, 2012. In February 2016, he was promoted to the post of Principal District Judge.

Justice Pradeep Kumar Srivastava appointed permanent judge of High Court

The Central Government has appointed Jharkhand High Court Judge Pradeep Kumar Srivastava as the permanent judge of the High Court. A notification in this regard has been issued under the signature of N Prasad, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Law and Justice. It is noteworthy that on January 18, the Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the appointment of Justice Srivastava as a permanent judge.
