Ranchi: ED raids the premises of Tupudana police station incharge Meera Singh and her associate, this much money found

Ranchi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided the premises of Tupudana OP in-charge Meera Singh and her associate Lal Mohit Nath Shahdev on Thursday. The ED team has seized more than Rs 15 lakh in cash and documents related to land business from Shahdev’s house. At the same time, a diary has been seized from the office of Meera Singh located at Tupudana OP. It contains detailed details of people, trucks and transactions involved in illegal sand business. Eight mobile phones have also been seized from Meera Singh’s residence. Apart from officers, details of WhatsApp chats with people involved in illegal business have been found. ED is interrogating both of them. ED registered the FIR against Meera Singh on charges of taking bribe of Rs 15,000 as IIR. After completing the preliminary investigation, ED simultaneously raided the premises of Meera Singh and Lal Mohit Nath on Thursday morning. At 6:00 in the morning, a team of ED reached Meera Singh’s rented flat in Ashish Anand Enclave, located near Tupudana Bridgeford School. At the same time, another team raided Shahdev’s ancestral residence located in Tupudana Lal Basti. ED team has also raided Tupudana OP. During this time, Meera Singh’s Scorpio parked in the OP premises was also searched.

The documents found from Shahdev’s hideouts and the facts mentioned in Meera Singh’s mobile and diary indicate business relations between the two. Shahdev is mainly related to land business. Preliminary investigation of WhatsApp chat reveals that Meera Singh used to provide protection to Shahdev’s illegal business. Shahdev has also given various instructions to Meera Singh in various business matters. Apart from illegal businessmen, details of conversations with senior police officers on various matters have also been found in Meera Singh’s mobile.
