After this video went viral, a complaint was lodged in a police station against Ranbir and his family members for hurting religious sentiments. However, no FIR has been registered yet in this case.
According to PTI, Sanjay Tiwari lodged a complaint at Ghatkopar police station through his lawyers Ashish Rai and Pankaj Mishra. The complaint claimed that in the video Ranbir was seen pouring liquor on the cake and setting it on fire while saying Jai Mata Di.
The complaint states that in Hindu religion, the fire god is invoked before invoking other deities, but Ranbir and his family deliberately used intoxicants and chanted Jai Mata Di while celebrating a festival of another religion.
Let us tell you that it has been alleged that this hurt the religious sentiments of the complainant. It is noteworthy that his entire family participated in this Christmas celebration.
