UP ATS had arrested three suspects who were spying on the city with the intention of disrupting the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya on Thursday night. The three arrested suspects have been identified as Rajasthan residents Shankar Lal Dusad alias Shankar Jajod, Ajit Kumar Sharma and Pradeep Punia, close to Gurpatwant Singh ‘Pannu’, chief of the banned Khalistani organization ‘Sikh for Justice’. After the action taken by UP ATS, terrorist Pannu had threatened Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath by sending an audio message. After which UP ATS has also named Pannu and started investigation. UP ATS DG Prashant Kumar said that during electronic surveillance and checking on Thursday, a white Scorpio vehicle HR 51-BX 3753 was caught. When the three youths riding the Scorpio started going to Trimurti Hotel, the police detained them and interrogated them. It was revealed that a total of seven cases were registered against Shankar Lal Dusad from 2007 to 2014. He was arrested in the year 2016 itself and remained in jail for seven years till 2023. He met Lakhbinder in jail. Lakhbinder introduced him to his nephew Pampa. Pampa had given him the WhatsApp number of Khalistani terrorist Sukhwinder Gill alias Sukhdol Singh Gill alias Sukhdil living in Canada. Shankar Lal kept talking to Sukha continuously on WhatsApp. Sukha told that gangster Lawrence Vishnoi gang is behind the murder of Khalistani supporters. Sukha sought help from Shankar to take revenge but in the meantime Sukha was murdered in September 2023.
Gurpatwant Singh came to Ayodhya on the orders of Pannu
Shankar Lal has confessed that he is close to gangster Rajendra Jat alias Raj Thehat. Khalistani terrorist Harminder Singh, who lives abroad, had instructed him that Gurpatwant Singh Pannu had asked him to go to Ayodhya and do recce and send photos and maps of some important places. Pannu had also said that she has to stay in Ayodhya and wait there for her next orders. The incident should be carried out as per Pannu’s instructions. That is why they were doing Reiki by placing Shri Ram’s flag on the Scorpio. Pannu had said that the material to commit the crime would be provided to her in Ayodhya itself. Shankarlal had come with his two companions.
CM Yogi had received threat
According to UP ATS, after the arrest of Shankar and his associates, Pannu, who was sitting in Canada, started issuing audio messages. In this, many calls were made to media persons and death threats were made to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. It was also said that three people have been arrested from Ayodhya. This will have serious consequences. Shankar has also confessed during interrogation that he used to work for Pannu. Due to which, ATS has registered an FIR against these three as well as Pannu in UP ATS police station under sections of fraud, making fake documents, conspiracy and treason. ATS will take all three on remand and interrogate them.
