Rajouri terrorist attack: Army Chief Manoj Pandey visited Poonch, instructed commanders to do so

On Thursday, terrorists had ambushed army vehicles at Dhatyar turn between Dhera Ki Gali and Bafliaz under Surankot police station area in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, in which four soldiers lost their lives.

The Army’s Additional Directorate General of Public Information (ADGPI) posted on social media platform ‘X’, General Manoj Pandey Visited Poonch sector and was briefed about the prevailing security situation. The Army Chief interacted with the commanders on the spot and encouraged them to conduct operations in a very professional manner and remain steadfast against all challenges. He said the Army chief later went to the 25 Infantry Division headquarters in Rajouri and the commanders present there briefed him about the overall security situation.

Mobile internet services remain closed in Poonch and Rajouri for the third day

Officials said that as a precautionary measure, mobile internet services remained closed for the third day on Monday in both Poonch and Rajouri districts to curb rumors and prevent miscreants from creating trouble for law and order. The services were suspended early Saturday following the killing of three civilians.

Senior army officers also camped in Rajouri and Poonch.
