Agra. Captain Shubham Gupta, martyred in an encounter with terrorists in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, was given a final farewell with military honours. Captain Shubham Gupta was martyred in an encounter with terrorists on 22-23 November in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir. The mortal remains of the martyr reached his village Kuan Kheda at around 5.30 pm. Here, before the last rites, the parents bid farewell to Captain Shubham Gupta. During this, tears started flowing from the father’s eyes as soon as he saluted his son. Before this, the martyr’s mortal remains reached his home in Agra before Kheria airport. A large number of people paid tribute here. During this, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak also arrived and paid tribute to him. After this, the last journey started to his village Kuan Kheda, 5 kilometers away from here. A large number of people also reached the martyr’s village to pay their last respects.

Cabinet Minister Yogendra Upadhyay also reached Kuan Kheda today. He met the martyr’s family. Yogendra Upadhyay gave a check of Rs 50 lakh from the government to the martyr’s family. Also said that the government will give a job to one member of the family. A road in the city will be named after the martyr. A memorial will also be built in the name of Shubham Gupta in his ancestral village.
