Encounter going on in Kalakot of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir

According to information received from the Army, security forces received input that 2 to 3 terrorists may be hiding in the forests of Baji village under Kalakote police station in Rajouri district of Jammu division. Officials said, “During the search, the terrorists started firing on the security forces, after which an encounter started in that area. According to officials, since January this year till now, 10 soldiers were killed in ambushes in the border districts of Rajouri and Poonch and nearby 46 deaths have been recorded in terrorism related incidents in Reasi district. While 23 people, including seven terrorists and nine security personnel, were killed in Rajouri, 15 terrorists and five security personnel were killed in Poonch district. Three terrorists were killed in Reasi district.
