Rajasthan Election Result: Congress is lagging behind in trends, Ashok Gehlot’s claims did not work! Read 9 big election statements

Rajasthan Election Result: Counting of votes continues on Sunday 3 December 2023 for the assembly elections held in five states of India. Meanwhile, in the initial trends during the counting of votes in Rajasthan, the ruling Congress party is lagging behind its rival BJP. To form the government here, any party needs at least 100 seats. To win the elections, senior Congress leader and state Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot made many big claims and gave big statements. During the election campaign, he left no stone unturned to attack and corner the Central Government and the BJP, but in the election results, all his moves seem to have backfired. Internal discord in the party also plays an important role in the backwardness of Congress in Rajasthan. After the formation of the Congress government in 2018, the tension between Sachin Pilot and Ashok Gehlot reached its peak. Nevertheless, Ashok Gehlot tried to sail the election boat on his own. Come, let us read his 9 big statements, which he has given during the election campaign.

22 November: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, while targeting the main opposition party BJP, said that it always opposes the issue of people’s rights. Gehlot said this while criticizing BJP’s complaint against Congress’s seven guarantees in the Election Commission. The Chief Minister posted on ‘X’ that BJP has gone to the Election Commission in tears against the seven guarantees of the Congress Party. By doing this she is accepting her defeat in this election. Gehlot said that BJP does not want women in Rajasthan to get Rs 10,000 every year or cow dung to be purchased from cattle farmers or students to get laptops. If there is anything in public interest, BJP always opposes it.

23 November: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot termed the ‘Lal Diary’ and Mahadev betting app case as a ‘conspiracy’ hatched by the BJP to win the assembly elections in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. He demanded that it be investigated by a retired judge of the Supreme Court. Gehlot claimed that there is no ‘anti-incumbency’ wave against his government. He expressed hope that Congress government will be formed once again in the state. Gehlot also criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks regarding late Congress leader Rajesh Pilot and said that the BJP wants to ‘provoke’ the Gurjar community in the state. Gehlot said that I would like to make one demand regarding Mahadev App and Lal Diary case. This should be investigated by a retired judge of the Supreme Court.

24 November: A few hours before voting in Rajasthan, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had said in Jodhpur on November 24 that they (BJP) were trying to topple our government. Toppling an elected government is a sin. The public will take revenge for this. There is an undercurrent in favor of Congress. On BJP’s claim of forming government in Rajasthan, CM Ashok Gehlot said that if Kerala’s record of 76 years (for changing government alternatively) can be broken, then it has been more than 30 years in Rajasthan. We did good work during the time of Covid. Now passed good laws, schemes and guarantees. People are affected by this. Congress will form government again in Rajasthan.

25 November: Thanks Rajasthan! Heartfelt gratitude to every voter of my state who played their role in strengthening democracy through their voting rights. Special thanks to my Congress worker colleagues, party officials and all the people involved in election management, due to whose hard work this election has been successfully conducted. After voting today, I met respected elder sister Vimala Devi ji and took blessings of victory. The intimacy and goodwill of my elder sister always gives me strength.

27 November: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot alleged that BJP leaders used inflammatory language in the campaign and tried to play the ‘religion card’, but people rejected them. Voting took place on 199 out of 200 seats in Rajasthan on Saturday and the counting of votes will take place on December 3. Gehlot said that the language of his central leaders was inciting riots, but the public did not care about them. The public did not succumb to his instigation. He said that his religious card did not work, which he tried to do with great force. What language did Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath use? Such language cannot be called appropriate, because things that provoke people create tension in elections. Gehlot said that there is no ‘anti-incumbency’ wave against the state government. He said that there was huge voting. I think an atmosphere like undercurrent has created in Rajasthan. The news that is coming.

28 November: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed confidence that Congress will form the government in the five states including Telangana, where counting of votes for the assembly elections will take place on December 3. He accused the BJP-led central government of misusing central agencies against opposition leaders. Citing ground assessment, Gehlot while talking to reporters here claimed that Congress will win everywhere. He said that if Congress government had been formed in Telangana 10 years ago, it would have reached great heights. Accusing the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government in Telangana of failing to provide good governance since 2014, Gehlot said that now there are reports of secret coordination between BRS and BJP.

29 November: Ashok Gehlot had said that we will also win in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Telangana. I went to Telangana yesterday (28 November). The atmosphere is changing in the country. PM Modi’s claims are failing. We kept our elections local on issues of development, performance, good governance, laws passed and guarantees given by us. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that no matter what figures are shown in the exit polls after the elections, I feel that Congress government will be formed in Rajasthan. He also claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is going to lose in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram. He accused the central government of destroying democracy and constitutional institutions and said that in the coming times, ‘sensible people’ within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will revolt. Voting for 199 assembly seats in Rajasthan was completed on 25 November. Counting of votes will take place on December 3.

30 November: Ashok Gehlot said that BJP is not going to win anywhere. Despite the exit poll results, Congress will come back to power. He said that today he had a courtesy meeting with Honorable Governor Shri Kalraj Mishra. During this, meaningful discussions were held on important issues of the state.

2 December: Before the counting of votes started, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said on Saturday, December 3 that the counting would take place tomorrow. Congress is winning the elections. We will get a clear majority.
