Assembly elections in five states between November 7 and 30

Let us tell you that the Election Commission on Monday announced the dates of assembly elections in five states which are being seen as ‘semi-finals’ before the Lok Sabha elections next year. In this sequence, the Commission has announced to conduct assembly elections in Rajasthan in one phase. Voting will take place in the state on November 23 while counting of votes will take place on December 3. People will exercise their franchise in all 200 assembly seats of Rajasthan on November 23. The Model Code of Conduct came into force with the announcement of the election programme.

Congress had formed the government in the state in 2018.

Talking about the last elections, in the year 2018, Congress had formed the government in Rajasthan. In this election, Congress had won a total of 99 seats, while BJP was limited to only 73 seats.
