Rajasthan Cabinet: Know who is Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, this was the journey from Kargil war to Olympic medal and politics

After waiting for several days in Rajasthan, the Council of Ministers was expanded on Saturday. Governor Kalraj Mishra administered the oath of office and secrecy to 12 cabinet and 10 state ministers at Raj Bhavan. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore also joined the team of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. Before this, Rathore was also a minister at the Center in the Prime Minister’s team. Rajyavardhan Singh’s entry into politics from sports

Before entering politics Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore Was recognized as a player. He won a silver medal for India in men’s double trap shooting at the 2004 Athens Olympics. Rajyavardhan Singh was the first player from the country to win an individual silver medal in the Olympics. Apart from shooting, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has also been interested in cricket. Rathore had also made a place in Madhya Pradesh’s Ranji Trophy team. But after getting selected in NDA, he stopped playing cricket. Rathore attended the Indian Military Academy and was deployed to Jammu and Kashmir during India’s Kargil war campaign. Along with serving in the army, he also continued his sports and won NDA’s highest sports award ‘Blazer’, after which he was awarded the Sikh Regiment Gold Medal. In view of his service in the army, he was awarded the rank of Colonel on 1 May 2009.

After retiring from the army, Rathore joined BJP on 10 September 2013.

After retiring from the army Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore Joined Bharatiya Janata Party on 10 September 2013. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, he was elected MP from Jaipur Rural constituency. In the Narendra Modi government, he was made the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting on 9 November 2014. After that he was appointed Sports Minister on 3 September 2017. Then in May 2018, he was made the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Information and Broadcasting.

Won from Jhotwara in 2023 Rajasthan elections and became MLA.

BJP has fielded Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore from Jhotwara for Rajasthan Assembly elections 2023. Where he registered a spectacular victory. After becoming MLA, he resigned from the membership of Lok Sabha.
