Lucknow. At present, rain is causing havoc in many districts of UP. People are facing flood and rain in many districts of UP. Ghats have started submerging in Varanasi and Prayagraj due to increase in water in Ganga. Some small temples built near the ghat have already been submerged. On the other hand, after the spate of Yamuna river in Mathura, many villages have come under the grip of flood. Now the havoc of rain and flood has started in many districts of UP. In the last 24 hours, 10 people have died. Two people died due to drowning in Rampur. And in Ballia-Mahoba and Lalitpur, 7 people died due to lightning. Apart from this, one person died due to snake bite in Sultanpur.
Many rivers of UP are in spate
Water filled in the low-lying areas of Mathura-Vrindavan Many villages of Maant area of Mathura district have been submerged in water. Many acres of farmers’ crops have been ruined. According to the administration, the Ganga river is flowing above the danger mark in Budaun. At the same time, Ganga is flowing close to the danger mark in Bulandshahr and Farrukhabad, while Yamuna has reached the danger mark in Prayagraj. The water level of Yamuna river in Mathura district has crossed the danger mark. An officer told that even after crossing the danger mark in Mathura, the water level of Yamuna is increasing continuously.
