Honda Zero Series Salon: Japan’s leading car manufacturer Honda Motor is working on its new electric sports car. The company had showcased the Zero Series electric sedan car at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (2024 CES) held in Las Vegas in the beginning of January 2024. The Zero Series electric sedan showcased in the global market indicates that Honda is going through a major change under its global brand slogan and policy of electrification. Under this, it is working rapidly on Honda Zero Series Salon Electric Sedan Car.

Front design of Honda Zero Series Salon

The Honda Zero Series Salon for its part looks like a streamlined and futuristic sedan, with the wedge shaped nose, plunging roofline and high set rear giving it an almost statelike profile. Its wedge shaped nose features a digital panel, which has a new look Honda ‘H’ logo. This will be visible on upcoming EV cars. The panel adds three-dimensional graphics to the concept’s fascia, making it appear as if the unit is inset compared to the sedan’s nose. The main headlamps are mounted higher up from the nose than the small bonnet, appearing integrated into the base of the windshield.

Rear design of Honda Zero Series Salon

The rear of the Honda Zero Series saloon also has a similar 3D-effect illuminated panel, with light rings like the front and the Honda inscription in the middle. The concept also includes an extensive glass house, in which the low-set windscreen blends with a panoramic glass roof. It extends till the rear of the passenger cell. What helps this concept stand out even more is the pair of massive gullwing doors that extend the length of the passenger cabin.

Honda Zero Series Salon Interior

The Honda Zero Series saloon concept features a four-seat layout with individual seats for all occupants. Honda says that this concept has a steer-by-wire system, which means that the steering has no direct connection to the front wheels. The yoke-style steering juts out from the dashboard to welcome the driver. The overall style is quite minimalist with digital screens visible near the center console and on the passenger side. Its instrument panel features a Human Machine Interface (HMI), which enables simple and intuitive operation, realizing a sophisticated and seamless user interface.

Powertrain of Honda Zero Series Salon

However, the Japanese car manufacturer has not given much information about the powertrain of the Honda Zero Series Salon Electric Sedan car, but features like e-axle can be included in this model. Apart from this, the motor, inverter and gearbox will be integrated into the axle of the car. Honda’s new EV car charges from 15 to 80 percent in just 15 minutes using a high-density lightweight battery pack.
