After the meeting of the Mandal Parliamentary Committee in the auditorium of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Mandal on Friday, the GM said that the time of waiting is over, the construction of Gaya-Chatra and Gaya-Daltenganj railway line will be started soon. Preparations for this have been started at every level. MPs and MP representatives from DDU Mandal jurisdiction participated in this meeting. The meeting was presided over by Sasaram MP Chedi Paswan. On this occasion, Aurangabad MP Sushil Kumar Singh, Anil Tiwari, representative of Industry and Public Enterprises Minister, Government of India Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey and other officials were present.

Many suggestions came for the all-round development of Railways

In the meeting, MPs put forward their respective suggestions for issues related to public interest and all-round development of Railways. General Manager of East Central Railway Anil Kumar Khandelwal and DDU Division DRM Rajesh Gupta and other officers were present in the meeting. In the meeting, Ajay Kumar Sinha, representative of Gaya Lok Sabha constituency MP Vijay Kumar, informed about the surrounding areas including Gaya Railway Station.

Many projects of Gaya and Aurangabad reviewed

MP representative told that Rs 4481 crore for Gaya-Bodhgaya-Chatra new railway line, Rs 446.25 crore for construction of Gaya-Daltenganj new railway line, Rs 1400 crore for doubling of Gaya-Kiul railway line, redevelopment work of Gaya railway station. Under this, the development work of Gaya Railway Station worth Rs 299.00 crore and the project of Road Overbridge in place of LC No. 67 of Gaya-Manpur railway section worth Rs 56.30 crore were reviewed. Besides, emphasis was laid on completing the works related to the development of infrastructure on priority. Future work plans were also discussed in the meeting.

OHE violation will be compensated

Along with this, construction of road overbridge in place of LC number 04 of Gaya-Kashtha railway section worth Rs 55.89 crore, construction of road overbridge in place of LC number 71 of Manpur-Gaya railway section worth Rs 55.80 crore, platform number two, three of Gaya railway station Rs. 22.00 crore for coach deconstruction at Nos. 4 and 5 and replacement of OHE violation by re-setting the OHE mast with critical implantation at Gaya. Everyone in the meeting was unanimous that the projects should be completed on time. Dissatisfaction was also expressed over the delay in some projects.

Redevelopment work of 92 stations continues

GM Anil Kumar Khandelwal said that the work of redevelopment of 92 stations is going on. These include 15 stations of DDU division. He said that the work of redevelopment of Gaya station is in progress to make it a world class station with world class state-of-the-art passenger facilities. Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn. Station redevelopment DPR is also being prepared. In the meeting, the MPs gave valuable suggestions regarding further increase and strengthening of rail development and passenger facilities.
