Raids against illegal liquor, four arrested

In view of the Lok Sabha elections, in the light of the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner, under the leadership of Excise Superintendent Sujit Kumar, a raid campaign was conducted at various places by different teams against illegal liquor. During the campaign, Saphi and Parho of Domchanch police station area, Neeru of Koderma police station area. 90 liters of country liquor was seized by raiding places like hills etc. At many places, liquor distilleries and liquor making equipment were destroyed. During the campaign, four accused were arrested for making country liquor, these include Baldev Sao, Kailash Turi, Rajesh Singh and Khiru Sao. The Excise Superintendent said that while registering an FIR in the case, the arrested accused have been sent to judicial custody. He said that a continuous campaign is being run against illegal liquor in various areas of the district in connection with the Lok Sabha elections.

Police raided Satgawan

Satgawan. On Thursday, the police station conducted a raid against Mahua liquor in Dhab Moosahariya Tola.
