Rahul Sen, arrested in Jharkhand module case, sent to jail by NIA, Omar changed religion, got involved in terrorist activities

Rahul Sen, arrested from Ratlam in the Jharkhand module case of terrorist organization Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), was presented by the NIA team in Ranchi NIA court on Saturday amid security. From where he has been sent to Birsa Munda Central Jail located at Hotwar in judicial custody. Rahul Sen is a resident of Khajuri Deora of Ratlam. NIA officials have received information that Rahul Sen had converted to Muslim religion under the influence of fundamentalists. After this he was named Omar alias Omar Bahadur. Rahul was brainwashed by fundamentalists to join the terrorist organization ISIS, convert to Islam and spread the ideology of ISIS through social media.

During the investigation, NIA has also got information that he is connected with the handlers of foreign terrorists of ISIS through social media. To gather concrete evidence, NIA has started investigating the mobile and laptop found from Rahul. To recover the data from mobile and laptop, NIA will send it to the Central Forensic Lab. It is noteworthy that Ranchi NIA had registered a case on 19 July 2023 in the Jharkhand module case of ISIS.

In this case, NIA team had arrested Faizan Ansari from Lohardaga. After his arrest, NIA got information about this module and the people associated with it and also about the plans of the terrorists. After this, the NIA team on Thursday raided a total of nine places in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Goa, Karnataka and Mumbai. Meanwhile, Rahul Sen was arrested from Ratlam. Many suspicious documents were found from his house. He was produced in the local court on Friday and brought to Ranchi on transit remand on Saturday.
