Radha Swami Satsang Sabha: Eyes fixed on High Court hearing in Dayalbagh land dispute case, officers said this

Agra News: All eyes are on the hearing in Allahabad High Court on Wednesday in the case of Dayalbagh land dispute in Agra district of Uttar Pradesh. Dayalbagh Satsang Sabha had taken a two-day stay from Allahabad High Court in the matter of land in Dayalbagh, the hearing on the same is to be held on Wednesday. Radha Swami Satsang Sabha had filed a petition in protest against the action regarding encroachments on public roads in Dayalbagh area. To attend the hearing, on Tuesday night, Tehsil Sadar officials left for Allahabad High Court with the revenue records. Administrative officials say that they will present their stand regarding the removal of encroachment on public roads. It is being told that the district administration has completed its preparations even before the action of the High Court. To present its case strongly in the High Court, the district administration has scrutinized the records of consolidation. The administration says that these documents will make it clear that the common road is a public road, over which no one person can have the right.

Radha Soami Satsang Sabha President Guru Prasad Sood, Vice President Prem Prakash Srivastava and Anoop Srivastava were accused of occupying government land. Two cases were also registered against all three in New Agra police station. On September 14, the court had given notice to remove encroachment on government land in various Gata and Khasra numbers.

Radha Soami Satsang Sabha filed a petition for stay against the notice given by the court, in which 7 people including Principal Secretary Revenue, District Magistrate, Joint Magistrate, Tehsildar were made parties. The High Court had given stay to the satsangis till 27th September. Further decision will be taken after hearing in the High Court. District Magistrate Bhanu Chandra Goswami says that the court order will be followed.

At the same time, a satsangi of Radha Soami Satsang Sabha has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and narrated his ordeal, in which he has given his point of view about the ongoing developments in Yalbagh area, citing many social works being done by the satsangis. In this letter, the satsangi has also mentioned about the conflict between the satsangis and the administration with PM Modi. Radha Swami Satsang Sabha’s media in-charge SK Nayyar has confirmed this letter.

Politics has also started on this matter, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has targeted BJP over the action taken on satsangis. He has raised questions on BJP by posting on social media site X. He says that this is a fatal attack on the great Indian tradition of Satsang, which the faithful and peace-loving Radha Soami followers are strongly opposing. SP stands with Radhaswami Satsang in protest against this injustice and is supporting in every way the campaign to save Dayalbagh. People will not tolerate BJP’s anti-religious bulldozer.

Let us tell you that Radha Swami Satsang Sabha has claimed ownership of 1500 acres of land in Khaspur, Jagannathpur, Sikandarpur and Ghatwasan Mauza. Petitions are pending against the actions of administrative and other departments. Due to lack of effective advocacy from the administration, final decisions could not be taken in previously pending petitions.

The petition filed by Satsang Sabha is of 225 pages. In which copies of all the agreements, lease deeds and orders made from 1935 to 2012 have been placed. Along with this, the reply to the Tehsildar’s notice dated September 19, 2023 and the revenue records of the concerned plots have also been included in the petition.
