QS Asia Rankings 2024: Strong performance by IIT Kanpur, ranked sixth in the country for the third consecutive year

QS Asia University Rankings 2024: Indian educational institutions have performed brilliantly in the QS World University Rankings – Asia 2024. Beating China, 148 Indian universities (about 18 percent) have made it to the ranking, which is 37 more than last year. IIT Kanpur continues to dominate the QS Asia Rankings 2024. IIT Kanpur has got 63rd position in the ranking of 2024. IIT Kanpur has achieved this highest position among all the top institutes of Asia in last four years. However, like last two years, IIT Kanpur is at sixth position in the country. IIT Kanpur was ranked 66th in the QS Asia Ranking 2023. Earlier, IIT Kanpur was ranked 278th in the QS World Ranking-2024 released in June-2023. According to QS, India’s outbound student mobility is a significant milestone, surpassing China for the first time in 15 years with a significant increase in students pursuing education in the US, while concurrently, the country is increasing its entry for international students. IIT BHU ranked 571st

While IIT Kanpur has performed brilliantly in the QS Asia Ranking 2024, IIT BHU has got the 571st rank in the country. The ranking of IIT BHU has improved this time. Last year IIT BHU got rank between 651 to 700. QS Asia University’s ranking is based on academic reputation and employer reputation. IIT BHU has got 4.4 points in academic reputation and 3.6 points in employer reputation. Last year academic reputation was 2.8 and employer reputation was 3.5. 148 universities of the country are included in the QS Asia University Rankings.

QS ranking released in London University

University Asia Rankings were released in London by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds). In which IIT Bombay is on top. IIT Delhi is at second place, IIT Madras is at third place, IISc Bangalore is at fourth place, IIT Kharagpur is at fifth place and IIT Kanpur is at sixth place. IIT Kanpur has got a total of 53.4 points. This includes 61.5 marks of Academic Reputation, 73.6 marks of Employer Reputation, 15.5 marks of Faculty-Student Ratio, 14.9 marks of Paper on Situation, 41.8 marks of International Research Network, 90.4 marks of Faculty on Papers, 100 marks of Faculty Staff with PhD, International Students got 1.7 points, International Faculty got 4.2 points, Inbound Exchange got 6.2 points and Outbound Exchange got 3.7 points. Acting Director of the Institute, Prof. S Ganesh has performed well in the QS Asia rankings.
