Jharkhand is financially free, demanding the status of a state employee, quadrupling the amount of grant in view of inflation, immediate release of grant amount to the remaining schools and colleges for the financial year 2020-21, increasing the retirement age to 62 years on the lines of Chhattisgarh. Mahadharna was organized under the auspices of Shiksha Sanyukta Sangharsh Morcha. During the protest, Sanskrit teachers were wearing yellow clothes, while Madrasa teachers were wearing caps. Thousands of unemployed teachers and employees from different districts of the state participated in the Mahadharna.

Have been demanding for a long time

Speakers said that teachers and staff have been teaching in unfunded schools and inter-colleges for the last 25-30 years. They are given honorarium, but in this era of inflation, the honorarium given irregularly by the state government is very less. Due to this, it has become extremely difficult for the education workers to run their families. In view of inflation, eight months ago the departmental minister had given approval to give quadruple grant. It has been eight months since the approval, but till now the document has not been sent to the cabinet. The Chief Minister had assured the status of a state employee and salary in the Assembly. In the light of the assurance, the Education Department has also written a letter to the Personnel Department, but the Personnel Department is not taking the process forward.

MLA Vinod Singh, Amit Kumar Yadav, Manish Jaiswal addressed the Mahadharna at the protest site. The Mahadharna was presided over by Surendra Jha and coordinated by Anil Tiwari. On this occasion Raghunath Singh, Kundan Kumar Singh, Devnath Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Harihar Prasad Kushwaha, Fazlul Qadri Ahmed, Arvind Singh, Narottam Singh, Manish Kumar, Anil Tiwari, Sanjay Kumar, Ganesh Mahato, Virendra Tiwari, Manoj Singh, Birso Oraon. , Soni Kumari, Raghu Vishwakarma, Dilip Ghosh and a large number of unaided education workers were present.
