Dozens of houses were gutted in a sudden fire at around 10 am on Monday morning in Ward No. 3 of Pardesia village located in Tajpur Panchayat of Shivhar. Property worth lakhs has been damaged in the fire incident. In this arson, property worth lakhs including clothes, grains, utensils, cash kept in the houses were burnt to ashes. So far there is no information about any casualty.
Fire broke out from short-circuit
Local people say that due to the short-circuit of electricity, there was a sudden fire. And due to the strong westerly wind, the fire spread slowly to the neighboring houses. Within no time, the fire started spreading from one house to another. During this, an atmosphere of chaos prevailed in the village due to fire. People kept running from here to there in panic. At the same time, on the information of the incident by the local people, three vehicles of fire brigade reached the spot. Then the fire could be controlled by going somewhere. The fire man handled the situation with the help of the local people and prevented the fire from spreading further. During this time substantial damage had been done by the fire. The property and goods worth lakhs of different houses had been destroyed in the fire. After the fire was brought under control, the local people heaved a sigh of relief.

On the information of fire, BDO Rakesh Kumar and CO Ajay Srivastava of Shivhar block reached the spot and took stock of the situation. In this incident, the houses of Sukhari Thakur, Narayan Thakur, Subodh Thakur, Shiv Thakur, Sukan Sahni, Umesh Rai, Dinesh Rai, Suresh Rai, Khanjanti Rai, Sonelal Rai and three others were burnt to ashes. In which property worth lakhs including clothes, grains, cash, TV, fridge, motorcycle, cycle, Honda machine etc kept in the houses have been burnt to ashes.
