Property worth 15 crores was sold to Sukanya at a low price, statement of CA Manish Kothari in ED inquiry

Birbhum, Mukesh Tiwari Arrested by ED in cow smuggling case, Birbhum District Trinamool Party President Anubrata Mandal’s CA Manish Kothari, who was imprisoned in Delhi’s Tihar Jail, had given an explosive statement to ED before his arrest. Manish had told that he was forced to write his own company worth 15 crores in the name of Sukanya Mandal on the cost of water under the pressure of Anubrata Mandal. According to ED sources, Manish had made this claim during the cross-examination then. Manish is currently in Tihar Jail after his arrest by ED in Delhi. After starting the investigation, ED investigators got information about Manish Kothari’s property.

It is known that he had a company named ANM Agrotech Foods Private Limited. Whose total were 17 share holders. According to ED sources, Manish had claimed during interrogation that he had sold various properties of his company worth around Rs 15 crore to Sukanya for only Rs 36 lakh. Manish had told that on August 25, 2017, a total of 17 shareholders of the company were transferred to Sukanya and Vidyutvaran Gayen. Similarly, on October 14, 2019, Manish made Sukanya the director of another company, Neer Developer Private Limited.

Vidyutvaran Gayen had a stake in the company since November 24, 2018. According to sources, the ED had also confirmed the information received from Manish. Incidentally, information was also received that Manish Kothari had land in almost all Mauzas of Bolpur including Rooppur Mauza, Gopalnagar Mauza, Kankalitala Mauza, Dwarkanathpur Mauza, Surul Mauza. He had bought all these lands between 2016 and 2022. As a result, Manish had to accept the said thing due to the pressure of Anubrata.

In four years, about 17 crore rupees were deposited in the account of Anubrata and his family.

The CBI had recovered crores of rupees deposited in the accounts of Anubrata and his family and acquaintances in the cow smuggling case. After getting this information, the Central Investigation Agency had also summoned the officials of the three banks. According to CBI sources, the information of a total of eight bank accounts was in their hands. A total of Rs 16 crore 45 lakh was deposited in these accounts between 2017 and 2021. Of the three banks in which these accounts were held, two were state-owned and one belonged to a private bank. Whether this money was deposited according to the rules or not, the Central Intelligence Agency had obtained this information from the bank officials.

The CBI and ED had alleged that Anubrata Mandal had become the owner of huge wealth anonymously through the illegal business of cow smuggling. According to sources, the accounts in which these crores were deposited were found to be in the names of Anubrata Mandal, his late wife Chhavi Mandal and daughter Sukanya Mandal. Apart from this, accounts were also found in the name of two companies. The Central Intelligence had not clarified that the family members are the owners of both these organisations. Apart from this, a huge amount was also deposited in the account of Vidyut Varan Gayen, a close friend of Anubrata.

The Central Intelligence Agency is probing the source of such a huge amount. Along with this, whether such a huge amount was deposited in the bank account according to the rules or not, whether the rules were followed or not, an investigation was also done regarding this. There was no collusion with the bank employees or his relatives, it was also investigated. The black money was also converted into white through the same lottery. CBI and ED had also found many proofs of this. Both the investigating agencies are probing more deeply on all these subjects.

Anubrata Mandal’s rice mill is owned by family members

ED and CBI are still engaged in the investigation regarding the ownership of rice mill of Anubrata Mandal arrested by ED in cow smuggling case. Initially it was revealed that Bhole Bam Rice Mill is named after the late wife and daughter of Anubrata Mandal. The ownership of the same Shiv Shambhu Rice Mill is with Kamalkanti Ghosh, her sister’s husband. Apart from this, another rice mill was found in Mirzapur of Bolpur. Anubrata’s nephew Raja Ghosh had himself said that he is the owner of that rice mill. His wife Paramita is also a partner in this rice mill.

According to sources, Shiv Shambhu Rice Mill was given on lease in the name of Anubrata’s sister Shivani Ghosh. Her husband Kamalkanti Ghosh was named as the director. He is the son-in-law of Trinamool leader. However, Kamalkanti was reluctant to open his mouth about the ownership of the rice mill. Instead, he lost his temper when asked by reporters. Describing himself as a ‘small man’, Kamal Kanti had also warned to call the police if he was troubled.

Who is Anubrata’s nephew Raja Ghosh

It is worth mentioning that Anubrata Mandal’s nephew Raja Ghosh became the chairman of the Birbhum District Primary Education Council after the Trinamool Congress came to power in the state in 2011. In this context, Raja had told the media that in the year ‘2019, he had also left the post of Chairman of the Primary Education Council’. Incidentally, Raja Ghosh was also on the post of Senior Technical Assistant in the Rural Extension Center of Visva Bharati. He had taken voluntary retirement in 2021. Anubrata’s nephew Raja Ghosh himself has claimed that he is the director of Mohankanti Rice Mill in Mirzapur. His wife Paramita Ghosh is also a partner in the business.

Anubrata’s daughter Sukanya got a job while holding the post of Primary Education Council. Many other properties were also found in his name. Raja claimed that his father Kamalkanti had no idea that he was a member of the Rice Mill Owners Association. According to sources, the relationship between his parents and the king was not that good. It is said that the relationship between the son and the father was not good for almost two years. However, neither of the two wanted to open their mouths on what caused the bitterness in the father-son relationship.
