Program with poet in Hindu College: Dr. Basant Tripathi said- Social media is a good platform for new poets.

Poet Basant Tripathi recited many of his famous poems in the event, among which ‘Broken Feather’, ‘Chalan Se Bahar Ek Athanni’, ‘Iss Baar Barish, Ghar Aur Pasodar’ were the prominent ones. Tripathi also recited some of his representative love poems, among which ‘Ghadi Do Ghadi’ and ‘Main Tumse Pyar Karta Hoon’ were greatly appreciated by the audience. In the poetry recitation by poet Vivek Nirala, ‘Citizenship’, ‘Bhasha’, ‘Tabla’, ‘Aasuvidha’, ‘Katha’, ‘Abhidha Ki Ek Sham’ and ‘Baba aur Tanpura’ received adequate appreciation. Nirala told that nowadays he is creating poetry of ‘Uddhav Shatak’ in verses, for which he got inspiration from great poet Nirala ji and behind this the contemporary importance and need of verses is also included. Recently, on the issue of punishment given to a Dalit child in Rajasthan for drinking water from a pot, Nirala recited a very touching poem titled ‘Chhui Na Jaye Koi Matki’. This poem is a direct satire on the discriminatory mentality prevailing in our society like caste, religion, untouchability etc.
