Udaipur : The works of the famous socialist poet and litterateur Nand Chaturvedi basically represent all those aspects of the society which are being reflected in the modern society. In these works, on one hand there is concern for women, on the other hand there is sensitivity towards every section of the society, sarcasm on politics and modernity, and also a representation of humanistic thinking. These views were expressed by renowned critic Professor Madhav Hada while speaking as the keynote speaker on the topic “Nand Chaturvedi: Literary Brainstorming” in the literary seminar organized under the joint aegis of Hindi Department of Rajasthan Sahitya Academy, Udaipur and Vidya Bhawan Rural Institute. Professor Hada said that Nand Chaturvedi is a name in Hindi literature, who has made a remarkable contribution in giving a special place to Rajasthan at the all India level through his works.

Nand Chaturvedi was a poet with simple and easy expression.

Pushpa Sharma, who was presiding over the inaugural session, said that Nand Chaturvedi was a fearless and sensitive poet, whose aim was to eliminate inequality in the society. Comparing Nand Chaturvedi with Kabir, he said that like Kabir, he was a poet with simple and easy expression. Referring to the literary events being organized on the birth centenary of Nand Chaturvedi, Professor Arun Chaturvedi said that the inspiration of Nand Babu can act as a guide for the society.

Nand literature supports women empowerment

Speaking in the technical session, Dr. Manju Chaturvedi said that while Nand Babu’s literature supports women empowerment, democratic values ​​are also mentioned in his writings. According to Dr. Chandrakanta Bansal, Nand Chaturvedi has been a poet of the public mind and the struggle of human life is exposed in his works. That is why he speaks accurately on the meaning of life.

Nand Chaturvedi connected poetry with history

Dr. Naveen Nandwana said in his statement that Nand Chaturvedi successfully presented the sentiments of optimism, egalitarianism and independence in his writings in the modern era by connecting poetry with history. According to him, as the pioneer of the new poetry movement, whatever Nand Chaturvedi wrote in favor of humanity is praiseworthy. While giving his views on Nand Chaturvedi’s non-fiction literature, Dr. Rajesh Sharma said that the basic points on which he wrote in poetry, he expanded the same basic ideas in his prose writings also. Dr. Sharma threw light on Nand Babu’s unique writing style and emotional expression.

Nand Chaturvedi was a humanist litterateur as well as a freedom fighter.

Kishan Dadhich described Nand Chaturvedi as a freedom fighter along with a humanist litterateur, who based his life values ​​on public life. Before this, Organizing Secretary Dr. Saraswati Joshi presented the outline of the seminar. Institute Director Dr. Tej Prakash Sharma welcomed the guests.
